WEEE stands for Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
It is an EU directive aimed to reduce the impact of electronic waste on the environment.
At least 1 million tonnes of electronic waste from homes and businesses is discarded every year, a figure estimated to be growing by 4%![]()

LANDFILL Regulations.
The Landfill (England & Wales) Regulations 2002 came into force on 15th June 2002 to reduce the negative environmental effects of landfill.
Certain hazardous watses are prohibited from landfills and pre-treatment of wastes prior to landfill is required.

WASTE Management.
Are you a registered Waste Producer? As an Organisation with redundant electrical equipment you are now classed under environmental laws as a Hazardous Waste Producer. As such you are required by law to obtain a Waste Producers Licence from the Environment Agency. This is required to enable you to dispose of your waste by a Waste Carrier.
